We celebrated Eliana's birthday one month ago, a week before her 2nd birthday. We had a pool party at our neighborhood pool just like last year. My little girl loooooooves the water, so it was fitting. I never used to understand how other kids that were the same age as my kids loved the water so much and learned how to swim so fast while my boys were so scared to put their faces underwater. Now I know. Those other kids were just born that way. Eliana was born to swim.
This whole party was made possible by my wonderful mom. She knew I didn't really have the time to stress about planning a party right now, so she took the reins and I was SO grateful. Here's the food/presents table with a Sesame Street tablecloth.
Eliana loves Elmo, so we went with that as the theme. Look at these cute cups my mom made with Elmo's attached.
Goody bags. Those colorful polka dots on the table were supposed to be up on the wall, but there was too much wind and they wouldn't stay put. That's also why we couldn't really put out all the Elmo cups either. I felt so bad thay my mom put so much time into them and they didn't really get shown. :(
This was a big surprise to me! My mom made this fruit tray in the shape of Elmo. It was strawberries, mango, and grapes. So cute!
Happy with Daddy.

Swimming with Daddy. You can't fake this kind of joy. She's wearing a swim vest here, but usually goes without. She doesn't quite swim just yet, but she's great at kicking and paddling and I'm sure she'll be swimming short distances by the end of the summer.
Sticking her face in. Her favorite.
Here she is getting ready to open presents. I predict that these two girls (that's her cousin Vivi) will be spending a lot of the time sitting poolside together in the future.
